January 11th and 18th: Health and Wholeness with Pastor Jon Siehl

This two-session class will discuss what does it mean to have health, or, wellness, or well-being. We will explore five aspects in our lives and how they are interrelated. We will discuss what physical health, emotional/psychological health, social health, intellectual health and spiritual health are and how they may affect each other, with an extra focus on spirituality and health.

January 25th: Outreach at St. Thomas

Join us for a two-part series on Outreach. Mother Liz will lead the first class by looking at three common outreach models and invite the class to consider which models St. Thomas has engaged in. The second class will explore areas of need in our community, and how our church might respond to them.

February 8th: Science and Religion Series with the Reverend Joseph G. Wolyniak

While most people of faith do not think there is an essential conflict between science and religion, we might not be sure whether or how they can coexist—or even cohere. This talk will offer a primer on the history of science and religion, with practical tools for people of faith to think and talk about reason and revelation today.

Fr. Joseph Wolyniak (Mtr. Liz Costello’s husband—you know, the guy with the rambunctious kids in the back pew) will lead these interactive sessions, having studied neuroscience, philosophy, and theology.
