Child Care

Our beautiful, staffed child room is located on the first floor of the Ebsworth Life Center. It is open on Sundays from 9AM-1PM  year round for children aged 4 and younger.  Although children of all ages are always welcome in church, we are glad to be able to provide the youngest members of our community with a safe space to play and enjoy some extra wiggle room.

Children's Chapel

Children’s Chapel is a worship experience for children aged 4-5th grade that takes place on Sundays during the summer months (when we take a break from Godly Play and Building Blocks of Faith). Children's Chapel takes place in the Kid’s Club room on the second floor of the Ebsworth Life Center. On Children’s Chapel Sundays, children join their parents or guardians at the beginning of church. Following the opening hymn, they will receive a blessing, and depart church for Children’s Chapel. They will return at the Peace.

Godly Play

Sundays from 9:45-10:45am
Ages 4 years through 2nd Grade
September-June

Godly Play Sunday School is a Montessori-style religious education program created by Jerome W. Berryman. It is an imaginative approach to working with children that supports, challenges, nourishes, and guides their spiritual quest. It provides children a deeply respectful experience with scripture, enabling them to fully enter into its power.

At each session of Godly Play children will: be welcomed, build the circle, experience a story, wonder about the story, respond to the story, and say goodbye.

After Godly Play ends, children will be escorted to the west transept of the church to join their families for Holy Communion.

Building Blocks of Faith

Sundays from 9:45-10:45am
for Children in Grades 3-5
from September-June.

Grounded in the Building Faith Brick by Brick curriculum, Building Blocks of Faith is a Lego-based Sunday school experience that enables children to engage with scripture stories imaginatively using Legos. Each week, there will be a prayer practice, a retelling of a scripture story, time for wondering and asking questions, and an opportunity to build the story using Legos. Following Building Blocks, children return to church during the Peace for the Eucharist.

The Quest Confirmation Preparation

Sundays from 11:30am-12:30pm
for Teenagers, 13-18
March-June 2026

The Quest, St. Thomas’s Confirmation preparation class, will take place from February through June 2026. The Quest is for any teen ages 13–18 who is discerning whether or not to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church.

Youth who wish to be confirmed must participate in the class; however, participation in The Quest does not obligate anyone to be confirmed. Our hope is that, regardless of the decision each participant ultimately makes, the class will provide a safe, authentic, and thoughtful space in which to explore faith, ask real questions, and reflect on what it means to follow Christ in today’s world.

The Quest may also serve as preparation for anyone who is discerning baptism.

Confirmations will be held on June 7, 2026.

Middle & High School Youth Group

At St. Thomas, we have an active youth group that includes both middle schoolers (grades 6-8) and high schoolers (grades 9-12). In general, we meet on Sundays at 9am from September-June for youth group. We also have many other activities throughout the year.

Adult Formation

At St. Thomas, adult formation is a chance to gather together and discuss important topics in our life of faith and our community. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, there is a way for you to grow your faith at St. Thomas.

Fellowship

Fellowship

At St. Thomas, fellowship encompasses the many ways we simply enjoy being together—through coffee hours, shared meals, seasonal gatherings, intergenerational events, and activities that bring our community closer. It’s an to connect, build relationships, and experience the joy of belonging.

Outreach

Outreach

At St. Thomas, outreach is how we live out our faith in service to our neighbors. From providing meals and essential supplies to supporting local families, partnering with community organizations, and responding to urgent needs, our parish seeks to embody Christ’s love through practical, thoughtful action. Whether you prefer hands-on service, behind-the-scenes support, or seasonal giving opportunities, there is always a meaningful way to make a difference with others in our St. Thomas community.

UPCOMING

  • TINY HOME BUILD, June 13 Volunteer to help build Tiny Homes. No experience needed -- just gloves, energy, and clothes you can get dirty. Ages 16+. To sign-up or for more information, contact Peter Justus

  • COME JOIN THE KITCHEN PARTY ON 6/16!  1-2 volunteers are needed.  We start cooking at 9 AM and are done at 11 when we load the car up and drive to the shelter. We start serving at noon, then have lunch with the men before returning to St. Thomas.  We are usually back no later than 1 PM.  If you just want to cook or serve that is fine, but you can do both which is a great experience.  Please contact Laurie Angelo if you have questions of want to come

  • THE ROTATING SHELTER RETURNS IN JULY FOR THE 33rd YEAR!  SIGNUPS ARE UNDERWAY! We will once again be hosting approximately 20-25 men who will be staying with us from 6PM to 7AM for the entire month of July.  Dinner and host signups will start Sunday 5/31 at the 8 AM and 10 AM Coffee Hours. (The Men's Ministry will also be contributing 1-2 helpers each night; thank you!!!) It takes a village to host the men and St. Thomas always does a great job.  The men love our building,  hospitality, and fabulous meals!  And, please consider making a cash donation to help St. Thomas run the shelter.  We need to raise $7,000. This money goes toward purchasing breakfast and lunch food, laundry/toiletries/kitchen supplies, some dental care, and  bedding.  You can make a donation by using the drop-down menu on the Giving Page of St. Thomas Connect, or placing a check made out to St. Thomas with PLRS in the memo line in Jean Waite's mailbox.  Please know that any funds not used for our shelter in July go to PorchLight to be used in other capacities to help the men they serve.  Your donations of time, talent, and treasure are greatly appreciated, thank you!

Music

Music

At St. Thomas, music is one of the most beautiful ways we pray. Rooted in the Anglican choral tradition and open to fresh expressions of sacred song, our music ministry invites the whole parish—children, youth, and adults—to lift their voices in worship. Congregational singing stands at the heart of our services, supported by excellent choral leadership, vibrant instrumental offerings, and opportunities for all ages to deepen their faith through music. Whether you come to sing, listen, learn, or simply be carried by the beauty of sound, the music at St. Thomas helps us encounter God with joy, reverence, and wonder.
