St. Thomas Episcopal Church Commissions Profile Committee and the search for a new rector begins.
On Sunday, September 27, the process began with the commissioning of the Profile Committee.
The task of the Profile Committee is to accurately describe who we are as a congregation, our past and present, and who we hope to become. Our Profile helps both our parish and the priest God is calling to see each other as we truly are and to discern together a vision for a shared ministry in the years ahead.
Calling a new rector is an act of discernment. Discernment calls for reflection - on our parish, our neighborhood, our programs, and our prayers for the future. Our discernment will guide our search for a spiritual leader for St. Thomas.
The process of writing the Profile begins with an all-parish survey to capture the information needed for both posting our position and guiding our Call Committee. Our Profile must reflect the thoughts and prayers of every one of us. This means we need full participation!
The all-parish survey will be available soon. To support our work, we ask that you pray for our committee and begin reflecting on what you love about St. Thomas and your hopes and dreams for our future.
