The Profile Committee was formed this summer to prepare the parish profile, the document that will introduce St. Thomas to the priests discerning a call to be our next rector. It is a small group of parishioners who bring different backgrounds, ministries, and years at St. Thomas.
Meet the Profile Committee
The Profile Committee was formed this summer to prepare the parish profile, the document that will introduce St. Thomas to the priests discerning a call to be our next rector. It is a small group of parishioners who bring different backgrounds, ministries, and years at St. Thomas. Our skills complement one another: some of us are drawn to listening and gathering stories, some to data and analysis, and some to writing and communication. We hope that together we can see the parish more fully than any of us could alone.
Our work begins with you. In the coming weeks, we will invite every member of St. Thomas to take part in a congregational survey. Volunteers will be available at coffee hour to help anyone who would like assistance, and paper copies will also be offered. We will also look for other ways to hear from voices that are not always heard, so that the profile reflects the whole parish, not only its most visible members.
We aim to tell the truth about who we are today and to describe the hopes and dreams of the people of St. Thomas for the years ahead. We will keep you informed along the way, and we welcome your questions, ideas, and prayers.
