Generosity that Continues...

Alleluia, Christ is Risen!

During this season of Easter, we celebrate the gift of Christ’s resurrection. Easter promises continuation, and the Resurrection Giving Campaign ensures the Church has adequate financial reserves for its long-term future.

Last April, St. Thomas Church launched its Legacy Giving Campaign. This effort was very successful, and this letter informs you of our progress and encourages you to join the Legacy Society, if you haven’t already.

Consider remembering St. Thomas in your Estate Plans to participate in Legacy Giving. There are many ways to leave money to St. Thomas after you pass away.  Several tax-efficient methods to donate to the Legacy Fund are outlined in the attached Legacy Brochure.

Currently, we have about $850,000 in the various endowment funds of the St. Thomas Legacy Foundation.  This money is invested [in the Diocesan Investment Fund], and the Foundation Board distributes funds to the Parish of up to 4% of the fair value annually, which helps offset some of the operating costs of the Parish.  We aim to increase these funds so that the disbursements to the Parish will eventually cover most facility costs and all utilities.  We now have over 32 parishioner families that have completed the attached letter of intent and are members of the Legacy Society.  We thank you for your actions.

If you have questions about the Legacy Program, please contact Mother Liz or any of the Legacy Committee members: Kathy Smith, Mike Albert, Curt Young, or me.

We have attached the non-binding Legacy Giving Letter of Intent for those willing to commit. Please complete it and return it to the church office. Legacy commitments can always be changed if circumstances change.

Thank you for the time to review this information for our annual Eastertide Resurrection Giving Campaign.

Sincerely,

St. Thomas Legacy Committee
