Choirs & Music
The St. Thomas choirs lead congregational singing during worship services and offer solo choral anthems with beauty and skill. These talented musicians awaken us to God’s presence with a wide range of styles, from traditional hymns to jazz, classical, gospel, folk, and more. On occasion, musicians from St. Thomas perform concerts. For any current musical concert offerings, check the St. Thomas events page.
Our adult choir, the St Thomas Singers, consists of both professional and volunteer musicians. This choir leads singing at our 10:30 am service from September through June. The St Thomas Choir sometimes provides music for special events, weddings, and funerals. The choir rehearses on Thursday nights from 7:15-9:00 pm. People of all musical skill levels are welcome to be a part of the group, the only requirement being the ability to blend with other singers.
To inquire about joining the choir or to find out about other offerings by the St Thomas Singers, contact Doug Cleveland, Director of Music and Liturgical Arts.
Choirs for children and youth allow our young people from grades 1-12 to engage in our liturgy and worship and to develop musical skills. Children in grades 1-5 sing in Choristers; youth in grades 6-12 sing in Schola Cantorum. Both groups regularly sing during our 10:30 am worship service.
For more information about Choristers or Schola Cantorum, contact Tim Blok, Director of Children’s Choirs.
