She went on to the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley and the Claremont School of Theology, where she received an MATS in Pastoral Counseling in 1998 and a PhD in Pastoral Theology in 2001.

Jane has served as a hospital chaplain and in a variety of ministry settings, including several congregations in Idaho and California. She also served as Director of Field Education and Professor of Pastoral Theology at CDSP from 1995-2003. After moving to Seattle with her husband, Jim Treyens, in 2003, she has worked as Interim Dean for the Diocesan School of Ministry and Theology, as Priest-in-Charge at Good Samaritan in Sammamish, and as Interim at Epiphany Parish in Seattle. Jane joined us at St. Thomas in April 2008.

The Rev. Stephen W. Best

Steve is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. He can be contacted via email at steveb@stthomasmedina.org.

Dent Davidson
Associate for Liturgical Arts

Play and prayer are two essential elements in Dent’s approach to planning liturgy and leading congregational song. He discovered his vocation in church music early on, having served St. Thomas since the age of 16, and in the intervening years at Trinity Parish and St. Mark’s Cathedral, Seattle. He rejoined the St. Thomas leadership team in 2003, hoping to blend elements of tradition and innovation in shaping our worship. He holds a degree in Composition and Vocal Jazz from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. In addition to parish duties, he continues to serve the diocese and the national church as a clinician/composer/conductor for conferences and workshops, and as the music leader for the House of Bishops.

Dent and his partner Jim make their home in Sahalee, where they enjoy cooking, entertaining, and all the comedy that comes with raising their two golden retrievers. Dent can be reached via email at dent@stthomasmedina.org.

Jeremy Anderson
Associate
Organist

Jeremy joined the team of St. Thomas on Easter Sunday, 2007. His vocation as a church musician began at an early age, garnering his first position as a parish organist during his junior year of high school. Jeremy is drawn to St. Thomas by its rich musical tradition, strong sense of community, and the enthusiastic hymn singing he experienced while substituting at St. Thomas on several occasions.

Jeremy and his partner Laddie currently live in the Rainier Beach neighborhood, where they stay more than a little busy with an array of God’s creatures, most significantly their dogs and their “big kid” Samson (Sammy), a Shire horse. When he’s not on the organ bench on any given weekend, Jeremy and Sammy can likely be found riding at Bridle Trails. Jeremy can be reached via email at johannbach@gmail.com.
